Personally i go to rock music its not always the same, its always different you cant relate that to pop its always boom pow. My favorite bands would be bullet for my valentine, cancer bats, billy talent, econoline crush, rise against, dragon force, dream theater and some more... _________________
You people seem to be forgetting that pop is called pop(ular) for a reason.
It's the most mainstream, it has the biggest artists and they make the most money.
The genres that I think are growing the fastest are Techno and Metal and all their sub-genres.
Although I doubt either of these will ever surpass (and thus become)'pop.' _________________
metal is starting to become popular again , ive been listening to it my whole life and recently alot of new artists are falling under that genre. but pop/rap is much more popular today , but i think that will change. _________________

I listen to almost anything that has a meaning to the song and so far artist these days don't have any talents. All music now sound like horse crap.
Sex, violence, and other bullshits
And kids these days don't know the meaning of "good music"

Why is it more popular than your bullcrap then?
Your bullcrap is only used as intro/outro or breakbeat(mixed with other sounds tho)nowadays and as background music in movies n stuff. That music you listen to is fun for people who like to sit and listen, yea the artists require more skill to make this music but still.
Dance and it's subgenres(techno,house,hardcore,trance,electro etc etc) are another type of music, just like rock and its subgenres (metal, hardrock etc) and then your music is another category again, it's just totally different and not compareable with the other categories really. Theyre rather new and only more and more categories of music will come. You can't compare apples with pears you know.
I think all music is basically growing, and then especially dance/hiphop/rock because theres more and more people on earth, more interests, more music events,people like more categories of music etc.
