It's not just a random pokemon, it has a plot and a title. It's a legendary. |
Yet it has an evolution. Zorua evolves into Zoroark. If you're gonna bring Manaphy into this, Phione doesn't evolve into Manaphy, you get from from breeding Manaphy.

Phione and Manaphy are still legendaries.
Zorua and Zoroark have their own title of Ruler of Illusions, they also have their own movie. It's a legendary.
Besides, you don't even know how or if Zorua evolves into Zoroark.
It's too early for you to reach a conclusion on them not being legendaries. Until new information on them is given, they match the schema of most, if not all, legendaries.

CoroCoro already confirmed Zorua evolves in Zoroark.
Never said Manaphy was non legendary, just saying nothing evolved into it so you can't use that to support your idea of Zoroark being legendary.

Still too early to say it's not a legendary.
Just because it evolves doesn't mean anything. You have no clue how it evolves.
For the time being, it's the star of it's own movie. Never before has a new generation been introduced with random pokemon. Then the fact that's it's tagged along with other Legendaries gives it more possibility of it being one. Unless stated otherwise, these two pokemon should be regarded as legendaries.
Let me throw something at you:
-Explain why a random pokemon has a status title. Tell me why a random pokemon would be regarded as the "Master of Illusions" or "Phantom Ruler".

1 thing. Lucario and the Mystery of Mew. Lucario isn't legendary and if you knew the plot of the new movie. Zoroark destroys Crown city by creating the illusion of Entei, Raikou, and Suicune. Celebi is tied in the story because of it's own problems.
"Master of Illusions" or "Phantom Ruler"
Reason is the plot of the story. He creates the illusions of the 3 legendary Dog pokemon using them to destroy the city.

If you look at the stage and the abilities of the Zoroark, you'll see that it's not a normal pokemon. It fits the role of a legendary perfectly. It's introducing a new generation of pokemon which will be known as Black and White. Zoroark is what? A phantom Ruler, a Master of Illusions. Hmmm.... I wonder if that fits into the whole Black and White theme. I wonder what's the opposite of Zoroark. Then look at what it can do. It can take on the shape and abilities of Legendaries, and even people.
I'm sorry, but unless Gamefreak releases something stating that it's not a legendary, Zorua and Zoroark should be regarded as one. The most logical assumption to make at the current moment is that it's a legendary.

Very well. I give up. I'd prefer to have Zoroark non legendary as I like raising non legendaries in my party and he would make an awesome edition.

Ya, Im really hoping that it isnt a legendary pokemon. Plus I would prefer a more epic legendary.
