First off I would like to say that you guys are doing an amazing job. I use Cheat Engine almost exclusively as my memory editor, and it's working fantastically!

However I have some ideas which might improve Cheat Engine and which wouldn't be too difficult to implement. For all I know, some of them may already be implemented, and if that's the case just tell me Very Happy

Okay so here are things which I believe would improve CE:

1) Multiple hotkeys for the same address. It's possible to set the key '1' to make the value '1000', but if you wanted another key (let's say '2'), to change the value back to its original, you're not really going to be able to.. This is a major shortcoming in the hotkeys and I find myself using the crapp 'Tsearch' memory editor alongside Cheat Engine just for the hotkey options.

2) Save state as key - I think a cool right-click option on addresses to save that state as a hotkey would be awesome. For example, I find myself dealing not just with one or two addresses but sometimes twenty or more! These addresses could have completely different values and to save them all by hand would be incredibly time consuming. If instead you could right click the address (or selected addresses) and save that state as a hotkey, you could now easily return to that state in one click. Maybe not the most useful thing for inexperienced users, but I personally think this would save some people quite a bit of time manually typing it all..

3) A couple more search options. I'm a fan of the current five choices you have and I think a couple more could only do you good. In particular, one I would like to see is "same as second scan" and "same as third scan".. I realize this would take more memory, however sometimes I'm looking through various unknown value states and all I know for certain is that it's the same as it once was.

4) This may be extreme, but I think it could be useful: a 'repeated search' option.. Basically, what I'd like to do is activate CE to perform a filter and then repeat it until I say otherwise. Some values like to jump around, going from 0 to 2039 to 0 to 2919 to 0 again, and they'll kinda mix themselves in with the stable value we're looking for. Maybe a looped search would be able to catch these harlequins with fewer clicks for us! Just an idea Wink I often try to cheat in unpausable games and loops might help here

1: Already being worked on for version 6, anyhow If you want to do this in ce 5.6, just select the address, press ctrl+c followed by ctrl+v, and then assign the secondary hotkey to the copy

2: might be useful

3: Is possible, but will not eat some memory but a LOT of memory(see it as if the .tmp files are never overwritten), but I'll look into it

4: I can only imagine this useful for exact value and "unchanged address", but i'll look into it
Tip: Assign a hotkey to ce to pause the game and another hotkey to do an unchanged value scan (and one for an exact value scan if you like), and during the game press the pause hotkey, then the scan hotkey till you hear the beep(don't alt tab, it won't work), and continue
