So I bought HG legit and I just beat Falkner,
I got level 15 Chikorita,
level 14 Mareep,
and a level 10 Butterfree.

Am I behind or ahead with my levels and amount of good pokemon?

I prefer making my team early in the game so that by the time I get to the pokemon league, I won't spam legendary's in like so many other pokemon games.

Since we are on the subject of Pokemon, which version is better HG or SS?

I don't want an explanation regarding legendaries of either version.

SS is just better. Ho-Oh sucks

I have SS because Lugia is water type and Ho-Oh is fire.

Logically, water is better than fire.

But, I am going to get HG as well because of their exclusive pokemon.
I don't like legendaries much.

Lugia is best at Def, Sp Def and Speed
Ho-Oh is best at Atk, Sp Atk and Sp Def
