after I reformatted, I have to re-buy the iTunes apps i had before?

No..before you reformat, locate the apps folder in the itunes section and save the apps file in your usb or w/e

Wow wtf apple. They suck balls.
If you purchased an item, why would you have to pay for it again. It should be saved in some sort of account. Once you enter the account again, everything just needs re downloading like Steam.
Or maybe i'm mistaken?

Contact apple and tell them your pc got reformated. They should let you redownload them free. Fuck, even nintendo lets you redownload wiiware and such if you have to reformat.

You can either dig them up from your iPod, or login to itunes, and you can redownload them.
