Changing firmware isn't hard at all. Restore to 3.1.3 via iTunes, download the appropriate 3.1.2 firmware for your iphone/ipod, throw that shit into DFU mode, shift+restore to 3.1.2, blackra1n, you're done. |
Why download the 3.1.2? Cant 3.1.3 be jailbroken? | It can be, but 3.1.2 is a lot better. No one assed themselves to update their apps to work on 3.1.3, so almost everything you'll get through Cydia won't work on 3.1.3. Have you not seen the 1,000,000,000+ notices telling you not to update to 3.1.3? |
Riiiiight. So, how do I downgrade to 3.1.2? | You can't because Apple restricted downgrading with their 3.1.3 upgrade. The reason you also shouldn't upgrade to 3.1.3 is because of the baseband update which restricts people from properly jailbreaking it (though that may just be for iPhone). You don't even need a jailbreak, I've been fine without one since I upgraded to 3.1.3 a few weeks after it was released. |
I just want to be able to SSH into a game of mine, and download videos from youtube.
There is no way at all to jailbreak from 3.1.3? Ever?
FFFFFFFFFFFFFF- I already restored to 3.1.3. |
Like above fucker said, DFU mode, select preferred firmware file, and then just restore.
