Just a few questions about memtest..
Firstly my computer kept freezing randomly so i tested the ram with memtest
, after a few hours it would have tons of errors so OCZ told me to RMA the ram. Again with the new sticks of ram I got memtest shows tons of errors..
what causes errors in memtest? could it be my mobo? :S
My ram is OCZ3G1600LV6GK 3 sticks 2G each
Mobo is ASUS P6TD

OCZ Memory is known to have problems, I myself RMAed one and might just return the one I received. I suggest you go for better brands like corsair or gskills. Is your rig all stock btw? you might want to try manually set all the timings and voltages to make it stable... unlike corsair it doesn't have a xmp profile so you can not run at 1600mhz without a overclock.

Yes I have tried default and setting them manually 8-8-8-24 \1.64v
tried 1066 mhz \ 1333 \ 1600
errors on all. i get like 500+ errors within an hour of memtest..

Based on your setup, I am pretty sure you have atleast a core i7 920 or higher. the memory control on the 920 is stock at 1066 and cannot be raised other than overclocking the bclk. As I have said before ocz memory does not come with xmp profile so you can not get to 1600 without a overclock, and if you just put in 1600MHz and 1.64 volts in your bios while the 920 is stock, your memory will become very unstable. I do not want to be too specific and throw you off so here is a good guide you can reference to:

Edit: i think i went too far ahead... do a memtest with everything stock and settings on auto, clear cmos if you have to. and then do a memtest. if it still has bad sectors RMA it and get corsair.

Even after resetting the bios it gets like 500 errors =_=...
Thats fucking garbage if the new ones i just got fail as well as the old ...
RMA process again epic failure

| RMA for a refund. Get something like corsair or PNY. G.Skill is godly I've been told.
