School board? This is a university not a public school system.
And do you really want to get into a debate about 1st Amendment Rights in schools? There have been so many cases where the ruling went either way because of the situation. It's not as black and white as you think.

And then get kicked out of U.M.(great school for biology/psychology majors) because of harassment? Hell no. |
This is why I do not take this thread seriously. Look at the types of posts you get from RS. Over half are about women and kitchen, one fourth about posting it on /b/ and the last fourth truly concerned.

I'm like: WHAT THE FUCK!?
Instead of supporting the feminist movement, I chose to state my honest opinion and said that it was hypocritical to the very core.
So this dumb bitch decides to call me sexist. Even after i found like 20 FUCKING SOURCES, including books, magazines, and university published articles online, my inbred nig of teacher called me a fucking liar!
Word for word, here's her comment:
"In all of my years in teaching, I have never graded a paper so offensive. The content of your resources was not valid, your citations were hand picked to spread a lie, and you've chosen to stand against one of the most important movements in the history of American culture. If you think you can get by with this, think again.
You have been dropped from the course."
OH MY FUCKING GOD!
I got removed from a $2k course for voicing my opinion and backing it up with VALID Research that was in the school library.
i'm taking this to the school board. This bitch has gone too far. Then to rub it in her face, I'm going to publish this article in her school sponsored paper. |
What else can he do? Don't do anything and just let it be? Yeah that'd teach the idiotic teacher something.
It is black and white it's just that some idiots won't see it that way.

Well then he used the wrong term because most universities would not have a school board overseeing them.
And did I say let it be? No. Nice assumption.
And it is not black and white with the 1st Amendment. You're not protected from saying anything under it. Have you taken a government class before and learned about supreme court cases? We only know his side of the story and we haven't even seen his paper yet.

Then what do you suggest he does?
I'm not saying it's black and white simply because of the 1st Amendment, I'm saying it because if the story he's telling is true and not biased in any way then it really is black and white.
If he actually did do something wrong and stated it in his story then it'd definitely not be black and white but because I've got no idea if he did or not then in my eyes it's black and white.

By school board i meant administrators and heads of my major's department responsible for these kinds of problems. Might have been the wrong term, but you got the point.
I honestly wouldn't have made such a big deal of it if the teacher had given me a lower grade( no matter what grade i would have gotten on this essay, I would have ended with an A as final grade because of my other test grades) but I'm not going to put up with losing my credits and money because a teacher couldn't accept a reasonable opinion. It wasn't logical to be dropped from a course because of this. it was clearly a personal act against a student, and that's what pisses me off here.

Aha, serves you right for being an idiot. How you ever thought voicing an opinion that quite literally nobody else has was a good idea confuses me.
That's on par with saying the abolition of the slave trade was a bad idea. Sure, there are some nutjobs who think it is (Read: Your Sources), but as for the other 99.9% of people? Lol.

When I said black/white I was only talking about the 1st Amendment cases, not this situation.

The same thing happened to me freshman year.
We were assigned Lord of the Flies, one of the essay questions was how would the story differ if the plane that crashed was full of girls instead of boys.
I said they'd probably kill each other even sooner, and provided "female cattiness observed throughout history" as supporting evidence.
You can imagine what happened.
(All the teachers were female, it's pretty much been that way since WWI.)

From what I have read, it seems the teacher is being unreasonable and being a complete feminist.
I guarantee if a male teacher was teaching this course, you wouldn't have been docked points. If a teacher finds someone's writing offensive, they shouldn't be allowed to dock points from the student's grade.

what are you talking about?
o.o
I said I supported the feminist movement. I just think there's a good load of hypocrisy behind it. Women wanted power, and they rightfully got it, but they often chose not to use it because it's in their best interest to retain femininity. With that being said, I turn around and equally attack men by saying that they prefer not to allow women to have certain powers. Why? Because it's in their interest in protecting their masculinity. Men only give up power when their masculinity isn't threatened(prove me wrong). I'm not saying the feminist movement was a bad idea, I'm just talking about the how to mentality behind it is too hypocritical. The equality that it created was shredded apart by convenience factors and distrust between the sexes.

I think Butters was being sarcastic.
If not, he's an ass.

Until I see the paper I'm going to hold out on my judgment, but I can tell you I find the entire situation incredibly hilarious.
Also, I'm not surprised at all you're attending a college for Psychology.
