Is there really a difference? |
So true.
Although this system is a good idea for bypassing system requirements it seems so impractical that it really isn't worth the effort.
NO ONE in Australia will use this, as we all have slow+Limited broadband.

| To think they spent so much time designing and programming this, do you guys think they even factored in certain aspects, such as capped internet, and lag?

| There's nothing wrong with the idea, actually it's pretty good. Delay etc. is just a problem today.

It doesn't really matter... I'm sure some people will find this idea appealing and pay for the service. If it's crappy, the customer will be angry, the company will have its money, and the computers they use to play the games will have less load (it isn't like people are going to try to get their money's worth...).

Not necessarily, there are already networks without packet loss or jitter, and the technology just keeps getting better.

Some people have bandwidth caps, and can't afford to transfer GBs of data back and forth every day.
Some of us are in college, where ports are blocked except HTTP and HTTPS. I highly doubt that the packets will come in via service ports.
