but thats besides the fact.
grade 6-10 I was bullied
11-12 I was tired of it so i bullied people
i came here, was nice and got bashed for being too nice
then i was nice to helios at first, he was a dick to everyone and even me when I was nice.
so i have a reason to be a dick.
we wouldn't say shit if it didn't bother him, but look how hes acting towards this, if he stopped this we wouldn't act like this lol.

Oh sure that's why psychologists will say. What, do you expect them to tell the kid getting bullied that he is a faggot and that is why he is getting bullied? Psychologists handle both sides of the problem. They handle the kid with the low self esteem, and then they handle the bully with the insecurity problem. On another note, there's an even stronger correlation between how low the self esteem of these bullied kids get with how much they were bullied. You spend your whole childhood being called a dumbass and by the time you grow up, you start to think it's true. This is what psychologists work to fix. As for the bully, they're insecure. They want attention, they want power that they don't have. Why do the smarter kids get bullied? The bully is jealous of their talent and tries to get over them through brute force. Bullying revolves heavily around a need for power over an individual who is better than you. Jealousy and anger, that's what makes a bully.
As for the popular vs unpopular argument, popular kids in highschool tend to be more destrutive in their life.They're most likely to turn into the thirty year old dumbass who is still trying to act like s/he is 18. As for the unpopular kids, they tend to direct their energy towards seeking acceptance of superiors(teachers, bosses, etc) than of peers who have obviously turned their back on them. As for the "socially awkward", i'm not sure what your definition of this is given that i have very different views on socially awkward than you do, but if i go by my definition, even the socially awkward have their own social groups. Anyways, this is irrelevant to bullying. But if you brought it up to state why you were better than the person in question here, it just proves how low you can get. You're trying to build a social status over the personality of another without reason. Or maybe you hold some sexual insecurities and feel the need to be better than a guy who likes furry. |
This is simply not true. Like twenty/forty years ago, sure. But these days, (at least on my school), the "bullies" are all really smart people. They're certainly not jealous of anybody else's intelligence. The first thing you said is true, psychologists do want to deter people from convincing themselves they'll never be capable of anything. Remember that I'm speaking entirely of personal experience of myself and people I know, but no bullies really seek power they don't have. They don't act out of jealousy and anger. I personally am never angry. I get annoyed (very easily) and frustrated, but actual anger is a foreign emotion to me. I personally don't really see how it fits anywhere, and I never understand why other people really get angry. But, from what I do understand about anger, the people I pick on are definitely more angry and self-destructive than I am or other people that make fun of them, which may or may not be because of me.
And for the last time, no one legitimately makes fun of him for simply for being a furry, this is the internet and you find those around every corner. We make fun of him by calling a furry because it's clearly one of his insecurities. You get a reaction when you call him a furry.

And no, elpacco, what you guys are doing to him is going much much further than simply annoying him over something irrelevant. As the bully, you'll justify yourself by saying it's not true. Show your replies and insults to him to an outsider, and the outsider will see so many problems with you instead of him. Really now, there's no reason to bully Helios. You're viewing it in entirely the wrong way. I don't NEED to make fun of him to hide my insecurities, I make fun of him to, well, have fun. I don't crave the attention from him, however that doesn't mean I won't seek it. If you have a cupcake right in front of your face, of course you don't need it, you could just walk away and leave it there (well, maybe Helios couldn't because he's fat), and you'll be fine if you don't have it, but you'll take it anyway because you want it and you enjoy eating it. El pacco, bullying hasn't changed much at all. What you are describing is social bullying. SOCIAL, not the physical bullying that existed "twenty/forty" years ago. Hell, even phys. bullying still exists in the younger kids given that they haven't developed speech so well. That article is just the summary of what we've been told since we were wee babes. Nothing of interest in it. And no, I'm not going to stretch out a hand and call them friend because I don't like them. They're annoying and I wish for them to not be anywhere near me. I pick on them so that they go away, so that they avoid me so that I don't have to deal with them, I definitely don't want their attention, I want the exact opposite. And additionally, if I am stuck with them and can't make them go away, then I am going to either have fun with it and make the best out of a bad situation (for me, not for them), or make it so that they try to avoid communicating with me so I can pretend as if they're not even there. I certainly don't look for kids to bully, but I do know some people who do. Those people fit all those stereotype you talk about, about being idiots who likely won't be very successful in life, but there really aren't that many of those anymore. And the outburst you gave in that last post is starting to show you starting to crack. I could push farther on that point, possibly respond with nothing more than a u mad image, however I find that type of humor stale and unsatisfying, not to mention simply unfunny. However it did answer my unasked question about whether you are/were a victim of bullying. The answer is a clear yes.

That article is a piece of research on what a bully is. It's what's defining you at this moment. You don't have to stretch a hand and call someone a friend, just leave them alone then. If they're so annoying and you want them to get away, then why do you insist on getting his attention by angering him? You contradict yourself, and you don't know it because you're blinded by so many insecurities that you don't want to admit. And these people wouldn't be annoying if you just ignored them. In fact, you wouldn't have to annoy him to keep him away. But you insist on getting his attention. You don't pretend that he's not there, you constantly remind him that he's there for the purpose of getting angry at you. You, elpacco, YOU are the stereotype to a social bully. Complete disregard for the mental well being of another, complete self absorption and complete egotism that stems from being socially insecure.
And, yeah, I do admit that I went a bit on the emotional side in my previous reply, but it was whole heartedly intentional.
As for me being of bullied, I wish I could say that was the case, I honestly do. I was the equivalent of a ghost at school. I got no form of attention from others(excluding a 2-3 friends) simply because I minded my own business with the select few that i decided to call friends. I had an idiot who was somewhat of a bully in eight grade, but all it took to get over him was my mom telling to not pay attention. I don't give people like you the pleasure of bullying me, nor do I give myself the pleasure of destroying another's life without reason. Besides, whether I was bullied or not doesn't change the fact that I'm saying is true. I'm not the only one who speaks these words. I'm not first, and I'm going to be the last.
Why will I continue to speak them? Simply because my job would be much simpler without people like you.

El pacco, bullying hasn't changed much at all. What you are describing is social bullying. SOCIAL, not the physical bullying that existed "twenty/forty" years ago. Hell, even phys. bullying still exists in the younger kids given that they haven't developed speech so well. That article is just the summary of what we've been told since we were wee babes. Nothing of interest in it. And no, I'm not going to stretch out a hand and call them friend because I don't like them. They're annoying and I wish for them to not be anywhere near me. I pick on them so that they go away, so that they avoid me so that I don't have to deal with them, I definitely don't want their attention, I want the exact opposite. And additionally, if I am stuck with them and can't make them go away, then I am going to either have fun with it and make the best out of a bad situation (for me, not for them), or make it so that they try to avoid communicating with me so I can pretend as if they're not even there. I certainly don't look for kids to bully, but I do know some people who do. Those people fit all those stereotype you talk about, about being idiots who likely won't be very successful in life, but there really aren't that many of those anymore. And the outburst you gave in that last post is starting to show you starting to crack. I could push farther on that point, possibly respond with nothing more than a u mad image, however I find that type of humor stale and unsatisfying, not to mention simply unfunny. That article is a piece of research on what a bully is. It's what's defining you at this moment. You don't have to stretch a hand and call someone a friend, just leave them alone then. If they're so annoying and you want them to get away, then why do you insist on getting his attention by angering him? You contradict yourself, and you don't know it because you're blinded by so many insecurities that you don't want to admit. And these people wouldn't be annoying if you just ignored them. In fact, you wouldn't have to annoy him to keep him away. But you insist on getting his attention. As for me being of bullied, I wish I could say that was the case, I honestly do. I was the equivalent of a ghost at school. I got no form of attention from others(excluding a 2-3 friends) simply because I minded my own business with the select few that i decided to call friends. I had an idiot who was somewhat of a bully in eight grade, but all it took to get over him was my mom telling to not pay attention. I don't give people like you the pleasure of bullying me, nor do I give myself the pleasure of destroying another's life without reason. We're trying to get him to leave or at least stop being annoying. He thinks he's being unique and an individual, but really he's not. But, in reality, there are more people like him who are purposefully "anti-conforming," just to be different than there are people who make fun of them for it. I used to be friends with someone like that. I stopped being friends with him and simply don't even acknowledge his presence if I see him in the hallway. He was annoying. At first I liked him because he was different, but then he got to be too different, where he would just do stupid things all the time just to stand out from the crowd.
