Rainmeter is not useless, especially if you want the weather. You're already wasting resources by using a dock so why not get Rainmeter as well? It runs on startup and displays on your desktop.

HEY SO I'M ALREADY USING ONE REDUNDANT PROGRAM THAT SLOWS MY COMPUTER DOWN AND USES ITS RESOURCES SO WHY NOT GET TWO?

That's what I do. Have to say I don't even use my iGoogle page however. The second opera starts, I click the X in the tab to go to speed dial before igoogle even loads.
