I jail broke mine on 1.1.1 firmware.
And I still run 1.1.4.

1. Go to http://blackra1n.com/
2. Download for either mac or windows
3. Plug in ipod
4. Open blackra1n
5. Press button
6. You just jailbroke your ipod in 30 seconds.
