IDK what happened but things are fucked up on mine now, how might I do this? I'm on Win 7 ultimate 64-bit.

Already thought of a solution, re-downloading Win 7, and reinstalling from there.

Keep in mind that Vista & 7 install all the system files at once, the "repair" install doesn't individually replace files like it did for XP.

I just want to get rid of all my old files, start fresh. Of course keeping some.

For Vista's repair, you will need to perform a in-place upgrade.
You pop in your Vista disc under Windows, select upgrade, and install it as you normally would. Once it's done, your stuffs and programs are still intact while the OS files are new.
The idiotic side is your OS must be working in order to do a "repair" install.

Windows 7 is probably the same thing, but I've notice you can perform a upgrade when you boot from the disc (repair install).
