Alright, im going to buy a laptop. I'm looking into about 500 GB Hard Drive, and 4 GB Memory. All the laptops I've found online are Windows 7 OS. I've heard it has problems. Could you tell me if I should get Windows 7 or not?

| W7 is extremely awesome. Some people just have issues with ATI drivers from what I hear. If the laptop has both ATI gpu and w7 its probably fine though. People also say they have a drop in FPs in some games, but others are fine. Its worth buying with w7. If you dont like it, its not as if its hard to put xp on it.

Your comment is just to show how much marketing dollars has been put out to virally affect our unbiased thinking.
Comparing side by side, windows 7 is definitely better than vista, but not worth the "extremely awesome vs sucks" contrast.

I'm not being biased. I truly loved it besides the fact it bsod'd my netbook when it had rc2.

| "Extremely awesome" is an overstatement but a good choice for a Windows user. Besides, it's probably all you're going to find with a new OEM computer right now.

Where did you hear it has problems from? |
Last I checked there was only probs with 64bit ati drivers, but ATI released new ones with CCC 10.2.

Uh, what? His comment had nothing to do any of that, he was simply stating he likes the product. Stop over-analyzing things.
Windows 7 is a huge improvement over Vista.

Thanks! I bought a Windows 7 laptop with 400 GB Hard drive, and 4GB Memory. Thanks for all your help. I enjoy it so far and it runs far more faster than any computer I've used before.
