AMG SO HERES HOW IT GOES

I'm playin' gaemz, cuz i liek gamez
Den my computer crashes!
I'm liek "wtf" But den i remember the loud ass noise my fan used to make!
Den i remember duh error "CPU FAN ERROR" i used to get!
Den wen i rebooted, I got "CPU TEMPERTURE ERROR" so im liek "FUCK OVERHEAT"

Ok srs bsns now

Den I open case, take off fan to look around to see what the fuck is causing the noise. Came to no conclusion and screwed it back in. It continued to make the noise. A week later, the fan would completely stop spinning when I first start my computer up. I mean, it's at ZERO RPM, dead, stopped, like a brick. When I open the case and push it with my finger to get it spinning a bit, then it starts up and spins noticeably slower than it used to (this fan was a HIGH PERFORMANCE fan back in it's days in 2006...). So now, my CPU temperature is 127 degrees Fahrenheit (53 degrees Celsius, for you non-Americans out there Razz) and my case temperature is 127 degrees Celsius, which is like equal to what I had in my CPU temperature in FAHRENHEIT! LIKE HOLY FUCK!. (For Americans like me, that's 260 fucking degrees). Now, I want my god damn fan spinning, before I blow my head off.

About my case temperature, my case fan works like a charm, no errors whatsoever. I believe my failing CPU fan and the CPU temperature rising- FUCK IT JUST ROSE A DEGREE, is contributing to my case temperature. I can easily buy a new case fan, if necessary.

SO PLZ HELP B4 I SHOOT MYSELF WHEN MY COMPUTER MELTS AMG

BTW, if it helps
MOTHERBOARD: Asus K8v-Deluxe
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 processor 3200+ 2.20 GHZ (Yeah yeah, intel's better, I don't give a shit.)
RAM: 1.5gb (Might be upgrading to 2-2.5 soon)
OS: Windows XP SP2

EDIT: I can smell it cooking....150 degrees F now.

Just buy a new fan to replace the one that isn't moving correctly. I had this problem with the fan in my PSU, but that had wires soldered directly to the board so I couldn't just replace it. You can take the fan apart and lube up the inner-workings of it (can't find the website I used before, will post it if I do) but it'd be more time-efficient and probably about the same price to buy a new fan rather than to buy oil/grease (I used automotive ball-bearing grease since it's supposed to be better than just some 3-in-1 oil or some shit)

53 degrees C isn't very high for really any CPU, max safe operating temp for yours is 70. I gotta say, I'm quite perplexed as to why your case temperature is higher than your CPU temperature. And how your CPU seems to still be low even though you claim that the fan isn't even spinning...I don't know.

Either way, get both a new CPU fan (get the hyper 212), and a case fan, any case fan really.

Got a whole 'nother computer in a closet with the SAME EXACT FUCKING SPECS (I'm serious, every little part is the EXACT same). The only problem is that the power supply in the other one blew, but who gives a fuck? The fan worked damn fine!

I guess if I happen to find it amongst the shit I have, I can replace it. kthnx.

Well I'm closing this now then as you've solved it and I think it's total bullshit.
