I ust came back from a computer store, and aseller told me that he's selling his pc(so it's used.)

His config is:

intel q6600

4g ddr2

500gb hdd

ati 3850 hd

24'' monitor

I don't kno the brand of the pieces, but since he works in a computer store i guess i probably used good quality parts.(bu i might be wrong)

300 for the pc, maybe. Thats outdated. If he loves the monitor so much he should keep it. Monitors arent that expensive.

Funfact: if the monitor is 16:9, then the whole build doesn't worth more than $450.

Do it, a $500 build with 555BE,5850, and a monitor.

Don't be lazy and go build your own machine. Or at least get one with reasonably updated and reliable hardware, not something a hobo would try his ass off to sell to you. As mentioned above, the 3850 is already way too old for games nowadays. DDR2 RAM doesn't even contribute much to the cost.

I could probably build a replica of that possibly generic piece of crap for around $400, maybe even less. Note that the seller didn't provide full specs, so it's kind of safe to assume it originally started as an OEM machine with probably a few upgrades here and there.

I suggest you that you built your own configuration and buy a new one, that is because you also get 1 or 2 year free service or warranty for your pc. But you decided to buy your friends pc then $550 is more than enough.
