How do I cheat?

I found the offset that relates to all ammo on HPC (Halo PC). The only problem is that I cannot seem to figure out how to modify it to make it work. Whenever I edit, it empties the entire clip in 1 shot...

So I think eax is the shots taken and that gets moved into esi+08 which is the number of shots left in the clip. So if you take more shots than the clip can hold (jg) it jumps to 004c4238. Am I reading this correctly?
I tried putting mov eax,0 in front of it all, but that wouldn't compile for some reason...and anything I do makes the entire clip empty at once. I know this is the correct offset because it changes all weapons, so I know I'm close. |

find another register that equals zero, and replace it with eax.

yep, it's the readername script thingie... you got that right 
ok back to topic:
how come you never thought about nopping it? i mean that's the first thing that i try to do whenever i see an opcode... o.O ...that looks suitable to NOP of course.

I'm pretty sure nop'ing was the first thing I tried...maybe I thought it was too easy and didn't try it, haha...
@Pingo: is that a script for all those things unlimited, or is that just random stuff? haha
I'm not able to get to my gaming pc atm, so I can't test anything, but thanks for the help |

| hmm...I tried nop'ing the function and all that did was change visual...it still reloaded when i should've been done with the clip. any other ideas? |

If you joined an online server then it'l do that. bullets are server sided. you need to be host.
