|
|
Well, I made a movie in Vegas Video [Compilation of screened videogame recordings] and now after I see the recordings itselves are black, and only the parts I slowed down are being showed. The parts on normal speed and sped up speed are just not showing at all. Although I see the text frames I added to the video.
What could the problem be?

I don't know a whole lot about video editing, let alone Vegas, but it sounds as if the raw video formed a layer (track?) and everything you did with it was on another layer above it. The top track might have a blank screen over the non-edited video; try to hack the original video bits back into where you made the changes.
Sorry if I'm vague (or just wrong), this is what I would check for and try.

The format of the raw game recording I used was .avi recorded with Hypercam2. (Yes Fraps is better, but I still used HC2 back then.)
Would a codec pack help?
If so, which one and where can I get it?

Or

Some people have their prefs, I personally like klite, but either will do you good.

Vegas uses its own set of proprietary codecs (decoders and encoders). With the exception of QTPro (which has a Vegas-compatible codec library), most codec packs will not work. The ones that Hero suggested are only DShow filters.
Get me a screenshot of your project in Vegas.
