Something like PS, but free.. every-time I download a PS its got a virus. So I am asking if there are any good alternatives, thanks

The new unified GIMP interface (2.5.8 IIRC) looks good, a definite step up from the multi-window layout IMO. Paint.NET is good, but is better as an image viewer and tweaking rather than as a full image editing software.

The GIMP is better than Paint.NET.
+ Lots of resources to learn how to do things (not that Paint.NET doesn't have any) and a more diverse userbase, being cross-platform.

The closest thing I know to photoshop is OpenCanvas and GIMP.
