I've never had my ATI drivers crash, ever. NVidia drivers used to crash seemingly randomly for me though, especially in Left 4 Dead.
From your other posts which include a lot of stupid shit, I've gathered that You're probably doing something wrong.

ATI drivers are a godsend compared to Nvidia. I've never had an ATI card of mine have its drivers crash. This pos GTX 260 has had its drivers go up in flames a bunch of times already.
When Vista first hit, I'm almost positive the biggest cause of crashes was from fking Nvidia or it was at least a huge percentage.

Am I the only one who thinks Nvidia drivers are better and ATI drivers suck?
I bought a PC last year with an ATI Card. For the 3 years I have owned it, the only game it can play is CSS, on lowest everything. Anything else, I would receive a ATIKMDAG error or something like that. My PC instantly crashes wen opening a game, and sometimes BSOD's.
On the other hand, Nvidia, has been running perfectly fine with every single PC I have ever owned.
Not that I am Nvidia fan boy, but after that experience, I wasn't too happy with ATI.
Other then that, I reckon they are good.

| My 4850 disc says its w7 compatible. Bitch to ATI/Nvidia. Anyway, I've used xp drivers on w7 and they worked fine. Do you just use the 8800GT? I've heard switching between video cards can fuck it up. Something about driver clash.

Nah, just too much computah lying around.
from old p4 to i5,
from the Hitachi "deathstar" drives to the f3
fucking shit stack of vidya cards, most of them are beyond help. Apparently some idiot broke their tube because they bend it 90 degree, magically fucking up the psu causing the graphic card to fry. i can tell you more of those idiot fucking their stupid shit
also lol 20 velo drives for $200 USD

Nvidia drivers for 8700M , 9600 and 220GT drivers works perfectly on windows 7 x64. only problem I ever had was compatibility with OpenGL but it was fixed already with the last update of the driver to nvidia's OpenGL 3.2 before that I managed to fix it by switching to an old version of it.
my position is still nVidia > ATi

I will take my not over priced 4850 over your nvidia crap anyday. Just because Nvidia has its logo at the beginning of alot of games, doesn't mean its better.

Called Amazon and the retail for 3hours saying that already happened 3 times and told them i was very displeased blah blah blah , got a $30USD gift card. Then, apparently some guy were selling them for $100 each (the 150GB one, although FRY's had the 40gb model for $50 during Black Friday but in limited quantity quality only ) wasted $2000 USD + $200 tax and $50 on special shipping, sold them for $140-180 each gave few away as gift, used remaining money for more hardware, with free gift card.
moral of story:
price error
order the shit, don't EVER make a phone call to confirm
they cancel
if you have amazon prime/dell EPP/ phone call them for three hour
get coupon
????

2 of those velo were in bad shape and died in few weeks, funny shit is that all the drives aren't the same batch
EDIT: this is off topic but, is not worth it to buy velo, unless you can find them for cheap that is. The speed isn't noticable compared to a f3, unless you benchmark of course. although you might see speed degening 5 years later, well 5 years later is ssd mainstream hopefully so who cares.
