Or

One has only a single sata cable, but you can plug more into the psu its self. Or if anyone has a better one for about 40 bucks. Needs a 8pin or 4+4 pin connector.

500W is overkill, you should get 300W at most. Also that one will fail on Windows 7, you need to give it time for it to be compatible. I tried this 300W one in my netbook and it worked fine but I got BSOD on Windows 7

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182001&cm_re=300w_psu-_-17-182-001-_-Product

It will run source games like a beast, my dads pentium 4 has it too, except TF2 lagsHero, if you want intelligent answers to your questions, stop giving stupid answers to other people. I propose that everyone who reads this boycotts giving Hero any actual help

ehh i disagree, 500w really isnt that bad but like 700 and 1k is overkill to me. Also would if he wants to add a graphics card that needs more wattage then he has to get ANOTHER PSU. I suggest the first one since the amps are pretty much the same.

Ultra is alright as far as quality goes, but performance is lackluster with their lower end models. 28A +12v with a 500W PSU; should be closer to 36A.

Get the Corsair CMPSU-400CX. It performs better than the Ultra in every aspect and is around the same price.

is 400w enough for:

athlon II x4 620
xfx radeon 4850
dvd+-rw drive
2 500gb WD black caviar 7200rpm HDDs at most, currently 1.

Just currious. If it is, I'll just get a 400w psu.

ill get this 400w then. Seems a little expensive for 400w, it makes me able to easily skip the shipping charges. case + psu is 105 making things easy. I just don't want an issue.

Let me sell mine to you, because mine is just sitting in my room with no use because I decided to get a 650W because I plan to oc/xfire/add another HDD in the future, but I basically have the exact same build as you just mentioned. I'll sell you mine for cheap.

So why is ultra no good? http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3276575&CatId=1078

They give it a damn lifetime warrenty. Sounds like shit is made to last. They would lose money if it didn't.
