| Everyone's always talking about hyper-shit and one processor working on two things at once. Question that just popped into my head: can two processors work on one thing at the same time?

| It's possible, but most programs work better on one core than on both. As in, trying to use two cores will actually greatly reduce the speed.

In the options for TF2, it actually has an option for multi core rendering.

Heavier games make use of multiple cores. Hardly any games use more than 3 cores however. By hardly any, I mean pretty much none. There might be like one or two.
edit: In task manager you can go to the process list and right click a process and click Set Affinity and it'll allow you to choose which cores to allow (or disallow) the program to run on. You should really keep all programs allowed to use all your cores, and only should change it if you actually have a good reason and know what you're doing.
I think this might only be w7.

That's really cool. So, now basically I can play old games with single processor support?

You can do this as early as windows xp. It even works with Hyperthreading.
