The HD5000 series right now support Eyefinity, but it's limited to 3 monitors.
The real Eyefinity edition card will feature 6 mini DP ports letting you run up to 6 monitors on a single card.
Put 4 of these and you get 24 monitors!

programming with 2 screens is very very useful. in the rare instances i have to use one screen it's like someone lopped one of my arms off

i agree. Once you get used to it, there is no going back. Not just programming, but to do anything. For something as simple as dragging something from one window to another.
