i wouldn't consider the iPad apractical computer unless it can do what a regular laptop can. lets face it, performance>looks. I would buy it if it can out perform a laptop for the same price, but i dont think it can even out perform a netbook.

It feels like they are. When you think about it, they been using computers longer than you think. They just happened to go more main stream for the public in the late 80s to 90s. Who knows how long the american government or russians have been using computers.
Its all alien backwards engineered objects.

| More useless over-hyped shit from Apple. Tablet PC's have existed for years, so I don't see what they think is so revolutionary about it. My biggest issue is with it being a closed platform, so the only thing you can run on it are their shit apps you have to buy.

I really do not see the use of it, but sure, if someone turned up giving it too me for free, i wouldn't turn it down. Cool? yes, usefull? not at all, would i buy it? never...
Sure, Windows > Mac, but mac has it's forces, and at some points its better than windows IMO. iWork is truly amazing, its an awesome computer for school work, or working in general. But if i had to choose between my Mac and my PC, i wouldn't doubt a second to keep my PC, its just... better... overall...
