I'm interested in how brute-force attacking/password cracking works.
I have the program Cain & Abel, I know that if I have this Hash number I could use CA to brute force attack it, and guess the right password in several days, or depending the password's strength.

But HOW do I find this hash number?
Lets say I play a online game, and I want to find a other online persons Hash, then I just search for his name and browse the memorie region to find the Hash?

As you see in the picture, my victim is this guy.. or myself.
I searched for text, and wrote my username. CE found me.
Then I browsed the memorie region, and I found a number on 16 digits, and I think it is the Hash....




:? But I'm only 1% so, I need some help...
And don't worry I'm a white hat I will use the Cain & abel program for something useful, like when my account gets hacked for 1000x times I'll just receive o.o

not possible, unless you run the server of that online game and attach cheat engine to there.
