Topic
What do you guys think?

I am currently building an i7 with ASRock Extream MB, 750w s12v corsair with 4* 6pins, azza solano 1000 case. So, power, crossfire, cooling and space is not a problem for me...

Need suggestions, I am currently 50/50 for both setups...

Thanks in advance

Eric

If you want to spend $400, get a 5870.

If you want to save a tiny bit of that $400, then get a 5750.

Pretty simple choice here.

Thanks for the quick replay!

The thing is, if 40 bucks is all I can save from getting the 5750 CF, i would rather get a 5870 like you said. But the 5750 CF does perform better in both 3DMark and all (if not, most) games out there.

I believe the 5870 performs better than the 5750, but I'm not 100% sure. Generally, the higher number in the series, the better the card. Plus, if the 5750 had better performance than the 5870, it wouldn't be 40 dollars cheaper, would it.

Awww...
I am afraid you have misunderstood my topic. Sorry for using the "CF" instead of the word "crossfire"
So basically 2 * 5750 < 1 * 5870 in price. Also,2*5750 > 1 * 5870 in performance by maybe 3-5 fps?

Since when buying two card for xfire at same time is the best price ratio?
buy a 5850 crossfire it 6months later, or stay in the corner and wait for GF100 with 275W TDP starting from $520-700 USD

Oh, I thought CF was just some kind of model of it or whatever. If the 2x 5750 beats it in performance and is cheaper, sure go with that. Just know that it'll generate much more heat and will consume a lot more power than a single 5870.
