Game crashes everytime I start debugging. Why?

Hello guys. I'm a new member in this site. I love using trainer for games so I thought I might create some of my own. So I start off with "Peggle Nights".
I know there are trainer already availble for this game but I just want to learn the method all by myself.
So here it goes...
I found the memory for the special power balls but whenever I try to "Find what write to this address" the game always crashes without saying anything - no error message - whatsoever.
I just got tired with this game then I tried hacking "Zombie Bowl-O-Rama". And you know what the same problem happens here.
How can I solve this problem?
For the information, I enabled the stealth mode for "Kernelmode" and also I enabled "Try to prevent detection of the debugger". The problem still persists.

disable stealthmode and try kernelmode debugging options when possible

after enabling kernelmode debugging, restart ce (also restart if you change stealth)

oh, and use ce 5.5, it's more stable
