Well, lets look at axe here
double vanguards on axe, doesn't stack
bfury = useless on axe
boots of speed? that's it?
vitality orb for...?
lacks blinking dagger
then Slar
vladmirs is sort of a situational item, not really meant for Slar
buriza is luxury
vanguards is fine
treads is fine
SnY? Try again
lacks armlet

The Axe was builded to take massive damage since he had alot of regen items and 2 vanguards to increase his life. The vitality orb was probably for a Tarasque.
The slar had SnY for obvious reasons, for chasing down the enemy and having extra attackspeed. Although I must admit that the buriza is a luxury.
Damn those builds are pretty old.

soz, just got back from a game of my own, anyways
No, 2 vanguards is stupid. The hp increase is barely worth the cost, trust me there are better items than an extra vangaurd. Heart is hardly ever used on an axe aswell, because of the price of Reaver. You're suppose to get blademail, so while you're spinning, you're also returning 100% of the received damage...
SnY is not worth shit for slar, if you want to be able to chase down enemies, simply use sprint (really, why would you be chasing down axe anyways?). If you want attack speed, ARMLET HURR DURR... If you really want to be a dick, get mask of madness and the enemy is instantly stunlocked.
