C isn't that great of a general purpose language because it works at really low level. It is true that it can do anything, but it takes a lot of effort. For painless general purpose languages, python is good to start off with. Otherwise OOP languages like C++ are very good as well. With C# you are really putting yourself in Microsoft's hands and you can't hack with it, same with python.

I recommend C++

But it won't matter, you will try all the languages once you get "the bug"

I lol'd at "the bug", so true but Python and C# can be used to make hacking programs aswell because they have access to the win api.

relies on a modified version of the emulator, but really, you're not really limited like you may think.

i completely agree make sure you go this route at all costs; whatever you do, this is undoubtedly the one true path to success in life so be sure that if you wish to have a prosperous and profitable programming career that you be sure to venture down this road, because allah only knows what consequences will arise should you choose some other and quite frankly, less than optimal alternative

C++ is the continuation of C#, so if you are interested in C++ check out C# first, then move on to C++.
