The HD 5770 performs slightly worse than HD 4870 1GB or the GTX 260 896MB cards, which cost the same as the HD 5770.

If you're looking for performance for current games, I would suggest the HD 4870 or GTX 260. If you want to be able to play DX11 games when they start coming out, get the HD 5770.

However, I don't know how well the HD 5770 will be able to perform down the road when DX 11 games come out, so you might want to take that into consideration.

take into consideration that a 5870 takes less power than a 4890, also there is no need to buy something more expensive when this card does more than enough work.

I was saying that the GTX 260 and HD 4870 costs the same as the HD 5770 and perform slightly better.

The HD5770 is crippled by its narrow 128bit bandwidth interface.

Yeah.

But it's not like they could give it a 256bit memory interface. If they did, they wouldn't be able to make the 5850 cost $140 more. Wink

the 57xx series....
what's this i don't even, if you think you are future proofing with the 57xx series, don't even think about it. 5850 or 4890 (which is $170 from XFX AR, or $140 AR and cashback from tigerdirect)
inb4
you don't and you can't do eyefinity
DX11 what, you going to get cripple by the lack of bandwidth anyway (Dirt,Battleforge,S.T.A.L.K.E.R, etc)
cool, it use less power, implying that a 10-20watts matters
