It's easier, I understand that, but after a quick search of the forums I didn't see anything specific as to WHY flash 7 was easier than 8/9.

What's the big difference between them and if you are determined to use flash 8/9 (or need to), what can be done to help overcome the difficulty involved in messing with the flash games memory?

(I'm a programmer by trade and I've been making trainers for my own games since the days when mtc was the most popular program on the block, so don't worry too much about going over my head with an explanation.)

did adobe/macromedia start intentionally obfuscating the values of things in memory to increase security of flash applications or was it something inadvertent?
