It's a great game, but incredibly boring after ~6 hours.

If it was, it would never get old.

Sadly, it is a singleplayer game. If it was multiplayer I'd put it above Diablo II.

That sucks. It looked awesome, but if its only single player, bleh.

It's still great fun, but the lack of multiplayer really kills the amount of time I'd spend on it.

Hmm well, thanx for telling me. They should make a second version with multiplayer of some kind. Hell I'd buy it even if the price tripled.

Q: Will I be able to play Torchlight online?

A: Because of the relatively short development window and tiny development team, we decide to focus our efforts on making a complete single-player experience. However, we are already in development of a massively multiplayer action-RPG set in the world of Torchlight for future release.

Diablo 2 > Torchlight.
Even if Torchlight had any kind of multiplayer, Diablo 2 is far better.

You do the same goddamn thing in Torchlight ALL GAME after level 25, while in Diablo 2, you actually have a variety of things you can do, in and outside of multiplayer (you know, ubers, cow level, ect ect)

Not to mention the variety of levels you can explore in Diablo, while in Torchlight, you're pretty much playing 7 levels just slightly different each floor. Yea, Diablo might have a couple of places that look the same, but for the most part, almost every place is different(excluding nightmare/hell)

Unless you like jumping into a big room, casting 2 spells, moving to the next room, rinse and repeat for 20 or so hours, I'd recommend you find a game other than Torchlight.

Torchlight, as of now, is probably the best single-player dungeon-crawler game you can find. Diablo II doesn't hold shit to Torchlight in single player.

What does Torchlight have that Diablo II doesn't? A pet dog? I'm sure you can get plenty of mercenaries in Diablo II.

You'd have to play it to really understand.
