| Has anyone got caught from using torrents? If so what did you do and did you continue to download?

There's always that chance, if your that worried about it then don't torrent.
Btw, warez-talk isn't allowed on CEF - incase you didn't know.

No, because I use my neighbors wireless.
Also in most cases you just get a warning letter and nothing else happens, though I don't feel like chancing it.

There are some ISPs out there that will terminate your service if they find you going to sites containing warez.

I personally don't think that any ISP, court or judge would go after you, of all 7 billion people on earth.

I'd say it'd go down like this. Get caught once - warning letter/e-mail sent. get caught again - ISP terminates your service.

Agreed. One time someone accidentally formatted my 2nd hard drive ages ago which contained ALL of my data. Anyways I started downloading Gears of War and went to bed. Next day my dad tells me check this Email out.
My ISP, TPG received a complaint from some other company saying bla bla. So TPG said this is warning yada yada yada. We will terminate your service if you persist. I stopped for about 2 or 3 months but I started again...

Yes, they can catch you when you download torrents, I know this because I once had to pay €3500,00 for uploading songs (which I didn't.)
Luckily, I could prove that it wasn't me because I was on vacation those days.
But yeah, you can get get caught. Here in Germany you will get sued for it.
Use HTTP downloading if you don't wanna get caught.

I have around 8 warning letters from Rogers.
ISP never touched me.
