im going in for a job interview for dunkin donuts. my parents said to always wear a nice shirt with dress pants or somethin but i asked my friend who already works there, he told me to wear just a t-shirt and a pair of jeans... so what do you guys think i should do? and what kind of questions will they ask me and how should i answer them. he told me to act like a "FOB"

FOB - fresh off the boat aka act like youre new to america.

Don't listen to your friend. Wearing a nice outfit leaves a better more professional impression on your possible manager. They may not have a dress code, but it's always helpful to dress up when going in for the interview then dress different if you get the job. And don't act as if you're FoB, show some intelligence and make the guy/girl like you.

When you're applying, dress one step higher than what they would expect you to wear to work.

If you're applying for an office job, wear and oxford shirt, dress pants and dress shoes. You can put a tie on if you want.

If you're just applying for Dunkin' Donuts, I would suggest you to wear what your friend said. Except don't act like a FoB. Just make sure your jeans aren't the ones that have rips in them or anything, and be shaved and clean looking when you go.

As for the interview, show manners, be polite, and don't act stupid.
Some employers (depending on their POV), if you have previous work jobs, they might either think your unstable or have lots of work experiences.

And just be yourself (in a mature way).

Don't listen to your friend. Dress nice, don't go overboard, but wear at least a decent pair of jeans without holes, and a nice collared shirt.

Don't act like a foreigner, that's just retarded. Be confident, and respectful. Act happy and motivated, don't act like you don't wanna be there.

Employers like to hear that you're a motivated person, and they really like to hear that you're a team player.

Why would it matter what age you are when you apply for a job at a donut shop as long as you're over 14 (I think thats the age when you can get a job in Canada).

And if they ever find out that you were lying about being 17, they'll fire you for sure. Just be honest.
