I have an unpacked MSEA client, i'm trying to remove HackShield so it doesn't detect the changed ip, and detect some memory edits. If anyone has done this before and can explain how finding where HS starts and how to disable it can you explain please?
I've looked for string referrences maybe to find HSupdate.exe, but that didn't help since it was just the string and only one adress read from it.
By comparing morphinestory's localhost and some breakpoint, I found this adress: 00A1E919. Even with a JMP HS runs anyways.

I know some people who have made HSless clients. None of the publicly released one's can stay connected for more then 5 minutes. The MS client tries to connect with HS servers and if it fails to do so you disconnect. I'm guessing this would be the same for most of the hacksheild based games.

Do you have any idea how they got to where it's good enough to be called a HSless client though? Like how they unpacked it, etc.

Unpack completely -> remove, or otherwise disable HS integ. checks -> Remove any other integ checks.
