all of my browsers, simply being on, take up 40-100% of my cpu, and constantly lag. this is without flash games or even a line of text on the page. my computer, able to run crysis like its solitaire, lags at the sight if firefox, IE, chrome, ect. it cant be a virus, because i just reformated, and the same thing has happened with vista and win7.

You either have a virus or are running flash based things.

This is a pretty common thing if you don't have video drivers installed.

It'll be especially bad if you're scrolling.

check out windows resource monitor, you can find it in the task manager.

it'll tell you exactly what the fuck is going on, be it: IO thrashing, some service doing fuck knows what, etc etc etc etc
