I wanna just copy and paste a whole list of links into it and leave it to download.
When I click on the add url and try to copy the whole list in, only the first link gets added.
Am I doing something wrong, or can I not copy whole lists onto IDM like that?

Go to options and select browser integration, should auto detect any copying of links. If not, get flashget, its free and does this without any extra work.

I already enabled browser integration.
It just only copies one link at a time.
And with FlashGet, they only download 3 files at a time right?

What? You can edit amount of consecutive downloads in options to up to 99 I think. I just download one file at a time even in batch downloads to ensure I get the maximum speed per file.

Copy
Flashget download confirmation appears, uncheck any files you do not wish to download
Click ok

and login with that login on IE as well
