When i want to start a scan, i get a warning about not enough memory.
what am i doing wrong?

Save your progress > close CE > open CE > load your progress > try scanning again.

| Get more RAM or a new computer. Try the change the "Scan buffer" size in settings.

i always wondered... what is scan buffer dependent/proportional to??? is it how much RAM you have or something?

ok so i ran a program... it said this:
CPU:
L1-D Cache: 16KBytes
L2 Cache: 1024KBytes (1MB)
HDD:
Buffer Size: 8MB
what would I do to find the correct scan buffer for ce?

i use 8192 KB works perfectly fine...
less flushes to the HD

Are you sure it didn't say 'No Readable Memory Found'? If it did it basically means that:
1. You opened a program
2. You attached it to cheat engine
3. You closed the program
4. Then you try to scan it on cheat engine
Doing the above will give the error message 'No Readable Memory Found'
