Your 360 must be angry. Most of the normal chests like to give whites or greens, but on the dev chest I've been getting blues and some eridians.

Also, running Crimson Fastness chests should work fine.

It's better than whites.
Also, I was just using eridians as a way to show that you can get things better than normal chests more often.
If I were you, I would run Crimson Fastness, then snag the dev chests.

I've found quite a few blues and greens that do awesome shit, don't worry about the rarity unless you plan on selling it...

Your levels are high enough to be finding cool stuff. I find stuff all the time, though I play it on 360.
