its like this,
I have this map and for me to make it easier to get where the pieces are going to move (( from cell to cell )) I want to place an mesh or something that will be only useful to detect its position (( on each cell)) so I can rotate my map model and I can still have the position of every single cell in my map so I can link things to the cells no matter how my map is being rotated around.

my question is if it is possible? and if it is, how could I achieve it?

I'm using C# XNA right now

Arrange your elements in a scene graph.

I'm pretty sure thats what I'm doing, I'm using meshes as nodes there ... what I'm asking if there is a way to track the position of that meshes in the model.
for example

the model is Map and in that model I have a mesh lets say A3

I want to be able to rotate Map and then get the position of A3

_______________

I'm finding another method ...
looks like FBX doesnt support the massive amount of objects in the same model
