Splited the entire Windows 7 disc to multiple CDs.
Depending on the edition you're using the number of disc varies.
I tried Windows 7 starter and it uses 6CDs, while Windows 7 Pro splits to 9 discs.
As you can see in the image below, by testing out the split disc for install of Win7 starter, the installer does ask for the additional disc.
In conclusion, this means you have no idea what your talking about. |
All that means is that Microsoft made it to support multiple disc installations, which is pretty odd considering that they never released a version on CDs.

Its possible the program added that in. It wouldnt take a whole lot for it to adapt to the same GUI.

It's because Windows 7 copies everything to the HD first before the real installation begins.
Vista did this too and the very first part of the setup is to check and see if the actual setup image files is there or not.
If it exist, it will say 100%
