I'm trying to play around with Dragon age origins and I can find some of the values and change them but they do not take effect, I'm no super cheater guy but someday I would like to be, is there some work around or some kind of bypass I need to be able to make these memory edits work?

I'm not sure what Dragon Age Origins is, but it sounds to me that it's a server-sided game. If you don't know what that means, follow this link:

Don't lose hope though, I could be wrong. Like I said, I don't know what Dragon Age Origins is. Either way, good luck.

Can you tell me, step by step, what you've done to get and change the addresses? You might just be making a little mistake somewhere.

Well the game is an rpg and it uses a gold system like wow, copper, silver, gold, its 100 copper for one silver 100 silver for one gold and I tried it on my copper I searched the first number then sold something and searched the new number until I had one value left that changed everytime I sold something to the appropriate number then when I change the value nothing happens its like the address changes

Hey, just registered to tell you that I was having the exact same problem as you until I thought of the money all as one value.
You need to search for a 4-byte value that goes GSSBB (G being gold, S silver and B bronze)
eg: I have 7 Gold, 35 Silver and 2 Bronze.
Search for 73502, make sure to remember to put a 0 before the amount of silver or bronze if you have less than 10.
Also when looking for a value to edit the points you can put into stats, you need to look for a double value, but once you've cheated it up you wont be able to put anymore points into stats until your level has caught up (eg: you give yourself 30 extra points, you won't be able to put more points in until you're 10 levels higher)
Have fun![/b]

Excellent thank you, what about xp points, have you tried finding these? I cant even find these while searching
Edit: The gold works!, I tried scanning for the points I started out with willpower it was at 25 then I took off my robe which then changed it to 24 and I did this and it came up with no results the second time around, I scanned looking for double value and no go.

Maybe the value that you're looking for is your character's base stats, not the stats you have after your gear is factored in? Try looking for your stats when you have no gear equipped.

Okay, I now have it working one last question can I save these addresses some how and use them later? or send them to a friend and he can use them like a trainer or something, I thought the addresses change every time the game resets?

You're right that the addresses will change every time, so you can either do this each time you want to change a stat...or make a trainer that tracks the actual game code which causes the effects.
I haven't got the hang of making proper trainers yet so that's about as much as I can help

I'm not quite sure where you're coming from Bluenine, maybe you can rig a trainer up to track addresses, but the best way to keep your work saved is to use Pointers or Code Injection. You can learn to use both of those in the Cheat Engine Tutorial that comes with the program.
