Hello everyone, I have a problem with cheat engine 5.5 when in a game I find the value that I need and click on "Find out what writes to this address" the game crashes. Why? How do I fix?

If the the game isnt using some sort of detection then just use (find out what accesses this address)

Alot of the time, finding what writes causes a crash for me too.
Im not really sure why (find what writes) is an option. Accesses is much better id say.

so it's a common problem, the game crashes when I click on "Find out what writes to this address" and even when I click on "Find out what accesses this address" so you can not solve?

most likely the game has some sort of protection, you could always try another program. You can edit addys in OllyDBG and it has many hide debugger plugins.

try kernelmode debugging in settings->extra
and then don't attach the debugger but just use find what accesses"

and check that you are using debug registers and not exceptions

What game is this? Someone might know if its memory protected and maybe have a bypass for it.

I know painkiller:resurrection is being annoying (steam game)
I currently don't have a 32-bit system installed so I can't test it with kernelmode debugger, but it crashes as soon as the breakpoint is triggered. (e.g find what writes on health , and getting hit = crash)

and yes, I know debugging in painkiller tends to be a waste of time due to the heavy scripting, but it's a game to test some stuff on

thanks, with the kernel mode The Game does not crash but still they are Not able to reach my goal The Game was a mmorpg aion wanted to increase my money but did not succeed. Thanks to all anyway ^_^
