For your problem though, you just can't connect to Steam at this time. Some glitch in the system. By tomorrow it'll most likely be fine. Make sure you reboot sometime in between now and when you try it tomorrow. Also, check to see if you can run TF2 (or any online Steam game).

always happen, servers were being flooded.

That was from 2:20-3:00 my time, which was 7-7 2/3 hours ago. This shouldn't be affected now.

ppl downloading the game is what was affecting the servers :/
and the amount of new players connecting to the servers.

I suppose you're right. About now would be the peak of when the servers start to really load up.

I have a different problem with steam.
I try login, as soon as I push the login button, it freezes...
Also in Task Manager, the Description says "Steam 732897"
It is the official steam and I'm fairly certain it isn't a virus.

STEAM has about a billion load balanced servers, it's probably impossible to ever flood them to the point where shit breaks. I haven't had to wait from a busy content server in a couple years. I'd say this is on your end, not valve.
See if you can access their site from another browser. You can try a tracert as well to see where your connection is shitting itself.
