I was wondering if anyone else has had a problem simmilar to mine.

Example 1 (values) -minor problem
I scan and find a 2 byte value, the value is 100,
change the byte size to 4 bytes for various resons and CE reports the number as 90,
that's 10 less than the acual number, so I change the number to 101 or 99 and it reports the correct value,
but if I change the number to any value that ends with a zero CE reports the number with a value of 10 less
ie.. 130 would show as 120.

Example 2 (addresses) -minor problem
When adding and address that ends with a zero, manually or from the memory viewer window, CE reports the
wrong address, ie..
-I right click a value in the memory viewer window stored at address "008F3FC0" and click "add this address..."
-The address reported in "Add address" dialog box will be shown as "008F3FB0",
that's 0x10 less than the acual adress. Notice a pattern yet?
-The address has to be changed to the correct one "008F3FC0" then click ok.
-That should fix it right?, it sort of does but there's still another irritating problem.
-Once I have the addrsss in my address list it shows as "008F3FB0" but it does report the correct value,
if you right click the address i nthe address list it has the correct address in the dialog box, the irritating
part is when I sort my address it uses the shown incorrect address.

Example 3 (processes) -pain in the ass
When trying to attach to a process that ends with a zero I get an error message and CE will not attach to it.
This is the "10" Bug as well, if I look at the PID in CE and in the Windows Task Manger you see the PID's are different.
Luckily programs aren't asigned the same PID every time it's opened, but here we still have the zero thing,

Conclusion, CE does use the correct values/address but reports the wrong ones for some odd reason.
I had this same problem with the previous version of CE.
If anyone else has had a similar problem and knows how to fix it please respond.

thanx

is this CE or a modified ce (uce?)
because I can't reproduce these results

and in case of ce, do you have any programs running that might interfere with it ?

I'm using CE5.3 from your home page, downloaded and installed 11/04/06.
Normally I only Run CE a game/app, there are a few TSR's but they are mostly windowsXP processes and some others for graphics/mouse/usb/etc.
I will disable as many of those non windows processes as possible and give it a try.

Edit:
Tested with the others disabled and got the same results.
Is it possible that I have configured something wrong in CE?
Something I forgot to mention in the first post was, when editing a value in the memory viewer I can't use the C key it cancels what ever I'm typing, but that's only in the memory viewer, it works fine on everything else.

Edit:
I loaded CE on another machine I have here and it works fine, your right that it has to be another software causing it, I just wonder what it is, I had the same problem with win98, I thought I had to replace all the old drivers when I upgraded, apparently there is one left.

thanx for the help.

(sorry to keep editing but I can't post again until someone else does)

Edit:
Well I give up, I put in a different harddrive and a clean install of win98 and I still had the same problems, then I installed WinXP over it, same results, I even removed my modem, changed graphics cards and ram, and removed my CD-ROM, that didn't help either.
