| Lol it seems a little bit plain.. and yeah even though its ur first sig.. it still is a bit plain you could add a bit more detail in the bg? and the thing in the top right how its overlapping kirby if that was the oppisite and was under kirby i think it'd look a bit better

| try and blend in the render a bit more, use the eraser tool around the edges with an opacity of around 30-40%

At least you put the render on top.
But, it's a bit boring now don't you think? And you can still see the dark blue diagonal line which you used in your first attempt. Also the curved lines in the upper right corner looks pixelated.

I wouldn't smudge it as was reccomended, you seem to be going for a different style of sig. xD I like your 1st attempt a bit better actually.
Anyway, I'd personally recommend you make it a bit shorter next time height wise, this ones seems to be lacking especially as you go toward the bottom.
Overall not a bad first try, you seemed to do a tad more than just slapping on a render and random effects without a second thought. I personally can't pull off that style at all. xD

Erase? Nonono. Smudging good, erasing baad. In case of the style of this signature, especially that it was firsties, it's really really good. There is no need for blending in this.
The color theme is nice, Kirby is the focal point because of the abrupt color difference, and there is upper-rightwards flow. Combined with the 'vector art' feel to it, it's a very nice signature.
I'm going to have to say that this is a 7.

Now see, this is an example of how following the rules doesn't necessarily produce a good result.
