Cheat Engine

Hello,

I am facing a problem I can't solve on my own. Whenever I create a process using the Cheat Engine the values I'm looking for are being found just like expected, but somehow they can't be found when I'm just opening the process. That's exactly the problem I have using my own C++ application to read foreign processes' memory.

OS: Microsoft Windows XP Professional x64-Edition / Microsoft Windows Server 2003 x64

that's probably because the process hasn't loaded it's external data files yet, and allocated memory for it, and filled that allocated memory based on the data files
