Can i use this pedal as a main instead? Or do i still need the original one, in order to connect this add-on pedal.

If it doesn't have the purple input, it won't work. Im not sure about the secondaries, don't have one.

Maybe it's because it's not made for Rockband. Rather, it is made for Guitar Hero.
