Put it into DFU mode. hard reset then enter DFU then restore once it's finished it gives you the option to set up as new device. |

So I found out something new:
If your part/serial number starts with:
MC - 3g
MB - 2g (Jailbreakable)
I'm pretty sure mine's is a 2g because I don't have a camera, but is it a 3g in a way because of the model number?

Yeah, it seems like ours are classified as "3g's" because they were bought after the price slash or whatever.

I was told that the Dev team would have something out by today (Viral), but so far I have yet to see any updates since 3.1.2 was released

The bad thing is, we both have our ipods updated to 3.1.2, so it might take a little while.
I know how you feel, I've wanted it for a little while now :L

Oh if yours is a itouch 3g I know why it is messed up. The ipt3 is tethered you have to run it twice. while booting use blackra1n again on your device. A tethered jailbreak means that it can't boot with out the jailbreak.

I don't think mine's is officially a 3g, it's classified as 1 because of the part number on the box.
What should I do after I get the picture of Geohot? It says to wait for a reboot, but it never does, am I supposed to exit and re-run blackra1n? Because it just says 'waiting for phone' again.

It doesn't get stuck at the Geohot picture, it has that spinning thing below the picture, then the screen goes black and I have to restore.
EDIT: DFU mode.
