I wouldn't recommend buying Seagate HDD's at all...
Last year I went and bought a 1TB HDD, but WD was sold out so I got a Seagate... I moved all of my Data from smaller HDD's into the 1 TB Seagate... Week later, the HDD failed and I lost all my Data... Replaced with a WD 1TB and worked like a charm to date.
A few weeks ago my dad came home with a Seagate External, and he plugged it in and his 2 WD Externals, and his new Seagate External weren't shown in Windows. I knew it was going to be the Seagate drivers conflicting with everything, so I unplugged the seagate and the 2 WD worked fine... Seagate has only ever been a dick to me... I lost 800GB of Data and my dad has a HDD that can only run by it self...
